The Glynn County Bar Association invites the public to celebrate Law Day on April 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.  in the Jury Assembly Room at the Glynn County Courthouse.

By special invitation, the students in the Glynn Academy High School and Brunswick High School Advanced Government classes will be in attendance.

The Honorable Lisa Godbey Wood and The Honorable Alex Atwood will speak on the ethical obligations required to create a successful life and future, including the impact of social media, and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

As a feature this year, students will be submitting a creative entry on the topic of the 14th Amendment. These entries can be essays, poems, skits, speeches, etc. The judges will pick the winner, who will be announced at Law Day!

At the end of all of the speeches, we will have a 15 minute general question and answer session for the students and judges.

The students will then take a short tour of the courthouse at the end.

Refreshments will be provided.
